LAN SYSTEMS PRESENTS TOP IT TRENDS IN LUNCH & LEARN SERIES

Norcross, Georgia, March 31, 2009 – Today, LAN Systems presented the Top IT Trends of 2009 in its Lunch & Learn educational series. Top IT Trends presented information on the emerging trends that will allow businesses to take advantage of the latest technology and advance their competitive advantage.

Focusing on  virtualization, cloud computing and new backup options, strategies to get the most from your IT dollars were discussed.  "Today, you have to focus on the latest technology to reduce costs and improve efficiency.  Basic IT tools are a necessity in today's market," said CEO Mary Hester.  "But to gain competitive advantage you have to be on the leading edge of technology." 

Topics included a primer on cloud computing and the applications that can most benefit business.  The discussion on virtualization included server, desktop and application methods. Numerous backup and disaster recovery strategies were discussed and specific examples given for common configurations.
