Norcross, Georgia – July 1, 2010 – LAN Systems, a leading Atlanta Computer Support company, held its annual July 4th Cookout for customers, friends and family at the Crossing Center Office Park.  In conjunction with the cookout, LifeSouth's Community Blood Centers blood mobile was set up for pre-registered and walk-in donations. The Blood Drive was organized by SugarOak Management Services.

The guests enjoyed food and fun in celebration of Independence Day 2010.  A special appearance by Channel 11 Alive's Jeff Hullinger was a treat for guests. The news segment, shown on Channel 11 at 7, featured candidate for Georgia State House District 51, Independent Brooke Nebel. Many of the LAN Systems' guests had a chance to speak with the candidate and discuss issues of concern.

"The Cookout was a great time for all," said Terry Hart, VP of Sales and Marketing. "We had good weather, wonderful friends and plenty of food.  You can't go wrong with hotdogs, hamburgers, potato salad, cookies and ice cream."

Attendees participated in social media by texting, tweeting and posting pictures.  "LAN Systems was added to foursquare during the event," said CEO Mary Hester. "And there were more iPhones, Blackberries and Androids than at a Smart Phone Convention."

The 4th of July celebration is an important time for Americans to reflect on the meaning of freedom.  Although the economy has given us all challenges, businesses throughout Gwinnett, Atlanta and Georgia are proud and thankful to be able to serve our communities and country.
